Join us for the Hancock Town Library's First
Annual Edible Book Contest. Saturday February 23rd from 10 am til noon.
Yummy fun for everyone in our community! Individuals or groups of all
ages are invited to create something edible that is book related.
Entries will be judged in the following categories: Youth (up to age
16), Adult, or Family. Entries can be made out of anything, as long as
it is edible.
We invite you to create and bring a piece of edible art related to books -- it can:
Be a pun on a title;
Refer to a scene or character;
Look like a book (or paper, scroll etc.); or just
Have something to do with books.
Come into the library to fill out your entry form(s).
Rules of the Edible Book Contest:
Everyone can participate: the young, the old, the professional and
non-professional, residents and non-residents, and even groups.
Entries must be book-related. Examples of this can be found online - just google Edible Books Contest
Entries can be made out of anything, as long as it is edible.
Entries must be family-friendly.
Participants can enter up to 3 entries.
Registration is free!

Library is OPEN!
Okay, Theresa is IN! The library is open
BUT...the main entrance is blocked by about 5 feet of drifting snow. Go
around and enter through the back door to the Daniels Room. Gonna take
us awhile to shovel out the front door. Thanks!

Intrepid Librarian Keeps Library Open!
Thanks to our stalwart and intrepid Saturday librarian, Theresa Earle, the Hancock Town Library WILL BE OPEN on Saturday February 9th for our regular hours: 10 am to 4 pm. Come in and grab a good book (or movie or magazine or book on CD)! The only reason we would NOT be open is if the power is out. Always good to call ahead: 525-4411. Enjoy the snow!!

Snowpocalypse!
