Downloadable Audio Books Come to the Hancock Town Library!

Great news for audio book lovers! Beginning February 12th at 9:00 am, patrons of the Hancock Town Library will be able to download audio books to their computers and MP3 players free of charge. Thanks to a Gates grant and the NH State Library, the Hancock Town Library now has access to hundreds of books (both new and classics) online. Some publishers even allow books to be burned to a CD. Before you check out any audio books online, you will need to get a special four digit code from us at the front desk. Then go to http://nh.lib.overdrive.com, install the free software, check out audio books and then download them. The site is very user friendly, but if you have questions, feel free to ask me. We will be holding training sessions on how to navigate the site beginning Wednesday February 21 from 4 - 6 pm, but you needn't wait for that. My guess is that you can all use the site right away. Have fun!
