A Child's Christmas in Wales with Charles Coe

Please join us as Boston poet Charles Coe returns for a special holiday program. Charles read at the Hancock Library back in June to celebrate the release of his latest book, All Sins Forgiven: Poems for My Parents and attracted the largest audience we’ve ever had for a poetry reading. Charles’ December program will feature poetry and short prose related to the holiday season, including excerpts from Charles Dickens’ “Christmas Carol” and Isaac Bashevis Singer’s “Power of Light.” He’ll close the program by reading the full version of Dylan Thomas’ “A Child’s Christmas in Wales.” There’s no admission charge, but Charles asks that in the spirit of the holidays, those who attend consider making a donation to the Hancock-based Cornucopia Project, which is “dedicated to planting the seeds for a lifetime of healthy eating.” Free and open to all.
