Trustee Minutes 4.22.15




Present: Laurie Bryan, Mary Garland Amy Markus, Suzanne Shevenell, Meeting called to order at 1:00 pm.
The minutes of March 25, 2105 were reviewed; Bryan, seconded by Shevenell, made a motion to accept as written.  Motion to accept was unanimous, and minutes were accepted.
The Treasurer’s report for the month ending March 31, 2015 was not ready at this time.  The Trustees reviewed the February 2015 Statement of Income and Expenses. Bryan seconded by Shevenell, made the motion to accept the February, 2015 Statement of Income and Expenses. Motion to accept was unanimous. Director Markus informed the Trustees that the Town’s auditors have requested that she obtain either an invoice prepared by the Library program speakers marked PAID, or that the program speakers sign a receipt, prepared by the Library of monies paid to them for their programs.  The Trustees concur with this request.
 Director’s Report: Markus provided the Trustees with a list that is available to the public which lists the Library Programs from late April through May, 2015.  These programs are also listed in the Hancock Happenings as well as on the Hancock Library Website.  Markus noted specifically a music program, ‘Delta Blues with Poor Howard’, on May 20th, as well as ‘Woodworking Techniques with Steve Carey’, on May 28, as new programs that promise to be a unique evenings of entertainment and interest.   A variety of Carey’s finished wood pieces on currently on display at the Library.
Planned Giving: The Trustees were given samples of a brochure and notice for review that may be incorporated in the Planned Giving Campaign that will launch later in 2015.
Volunteer Thank You Luncheon: The Trustees discussed logistics, and dates for the Volunteer Thank You Luncheon that is planned in late September.

There being no further business a motion to adjourn was made by Shevenell, seconded by Garland. The Trustees all voted in the affirmative and the meeting was adjourned at 1:40pm. The next Trustee Meeting is May 27, 2015, 1pm, at the Library.
